I live in the beautiful Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, England.

I have always drawn and painted since childhood gaining a number of academic qualifications in the arts whilst at school, but as is common I've had little time to practice this interest until more recently.

I enjoy exploring different techniques but I am particularly happy using Acrylic paint and have developed my own distinctive style.

Capturing the light is everything. As a land/seascape painter, it is always the light that I remember most about any location. It’s elusive quality can transform a whole land/seascape in a few fleeting seconds. In my paintings I strive to convey that movement and ‘wow’ moment and sense of place by capturing its fleeting magic. It is a record of the world as I know and experience it.

I am always honoured when someone else feels a connection to the work and for the work to offer them something. 

All my sea / landscape and 'other' paintings are available to purchase and you can be sure that the painting(s) you select are unique. 

I have never produced copies (prints or cards) of my work. However, as you can see, my website has low resolution photos.

In the following gallery pages "Sea and landscapes" and "Other paintings" you will find a brief description of the work and approx. sizes (in millimeters) and a price excluding postage and packaging. I have tried to get a generic postage cost but each piece is so individual it seems best for you to contact me with the destination address so I can supply a bespoke quotation.

Framing. The majority of the work on this site has been framed. However if you wish to have a painting without the frame this can normally be arranged for you.
